Manager

Your role

Interfood is looking for a Key Account Manager for the Americas Hub. As our new Key Account Manager you play a crucial role in our commercial team as a strategic (internal and external) orchestrator responsible for realizing our growth ambition. You will be responsible for nurturing and expanding long-term relationships with our most crucial key accounts. You are responsible for driving sales growth, identifying and capitalizing on commercial opportunities related to our Value Propositions and taking care of customer satisfaction. Your job will involve getting to know our clients deeply, finding out what they really need, and making sure we meet those needs. You'll prepare for meetings carefully and follow up diligently.

Your tasks 

  • Manage Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts. Understand their needs, concerns, and objectives. Act as the primary point of contact for any queries or issues. Use unique methods to manage these relationships and meet our business goals. 
  • Effective meeting management: Carefully prepare for meetings with clients and make sure to follow up afterwards to keep things moving smoothly.
  • Understand Clients' Needs: Get to know our clients well, including their big challenges and what they need to succeed.
  • Discover Hidden Needs: Be able to spot what clients need but haven't asked for, and find ways to address these needs. Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and pursue them. Develop strategies to upsell or cross-sell additional products or services to existing clients.
  • Value propositions: create and sell our solutions, offer and sell extra benefits to our clients that make us stand out from the competition. Identify and capitalizing on opportunities. Always see the bigger picture and connect the dots within our different value propositions. 
  • Contract negotiations: Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts with clients, ensuring they are favorable for both parties while also aligning with the company's objectives.
  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with commodity trading activities. Implement strategies to minimize exposure to market fluctuations, credit risks, and operational risks.
  • Continuous improvement: Continuously explore ways to improve performance and enhance client satisfaction. Measure success and report internally and externally.

Your profile

Bachelor or master degree in degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a similar field
At least 2 years’ experience in managing key business accounts, especially in strategic planning and detailed management.
Proven track record as a Key Account Manager in a multinational, especially in roles requiring strategic oversight and detailed process management.
Strong analytical skills to understand and address complex client needs effectively.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Bilingual Spanish and English skills both written and spoken.
