The combination of customers returning from holidays and some incidental supply constraints pushed price to a higher range of EUR 1050-1200, ex works. This implies that the spread with lactose more or less returned to the historic average since lactose prices stabilized.
Americas
Higher Chinese pork prices provide support for permeate
Local Chinese prices for US permeate appreciated somewhat to USD 920. These prices are paid for new offers early September. The main driver were higher pork prices since our previous issue in early August.
