Stability continues while the price gap between US and EU origins grows
Europe
Very little change throughout the holiday weeks
Western EU origins are mainly traded in a range of EUR 650-750 ex works, with brands by tier-1 manufacturers mostly sold at the top end of that range. Eastern EU origins are available in a range of EUR 570-630 ex works. The market has not changed much over the last 6 weeks.
Americas
Market stability continues at good trading volumes
In a market where supply is good but demand is solid as well product continues to be traded in the same range of USD 0.20-0.25/lb (440-550/t) ex works. The permeate market certainly feels less tight than lactose at the moment.
